Week 6 Term 1

Week 6

At Te Awamutu Intermediate

This week at TAI lots of things are happening.

This week we are getting makuari students coming from japan to our school. They all have host families that they stay with while they are over here. The arriving to our school on Friday morning and we will be welcoming them with a powhiri in the school hall.

We are getting a new path way put in behind our bus shelter. It is a path for pedestrians, so the can exit our school safely. The pathway has been dug up and the workers are putting down the concrete today.

Today they have started painting our school acronym, S.H.I.N.E. The S stands for Showing Respect, the we are Honest, the I stands for Including others, the N stands for Never give up and the E stands for we seek Excellence. The are painting SHINE onto the front wall on the office, right beside the round-about.

Other Events

Next Sunday our class, room 3, will be going on our class camp down to wellington. We are going from the 22-27 ( Sunday-Friday) of March. Will we being heaps of thing down like snorkeling, Ontv studio, Parliament, Upper Hut pools and more. It will be a lot of fun except of course for that 6-8 hour bus ride to Wellington and another 6-8 hour ride back to Te Awamutu.
